Transfer FAQ

The questions we hear most about Rafina transfers.

How much is a transfer from Athens Airport to Rafina?
A standard car starts from about €45 (up to 4 passengers plus luggage). A minibus or van for families and groups is roughly €60–70. You'll always see the exact, fixed price before you confirm.
How long does it take?
About 20–30 minutes by road — Rafina is only ~25 km from the airport, much closer than Piraeus.
How do I find my driver?
Your driver meets you at arrivals holding a sign with your name and helps with your luggage to the car.
What if my flight is delayed?
Drivers track your flight and adjust the pickup, so they'll be waiting even if you land late — at no extra charge.
Can you take me to central Athens or another destination?
Yes — transfers run to and from Rafina, the airport, central Athens or anywhere you need. Just enter your destination when booking, or message us for a custom trip.
Is there a bus from Athens Airport to Rafina?
Yes — a direct KTEL bus runs between Athens Airport and Rafina port for a fixed €4.00, paid in cash on board. It's the cheapest way but slower than a taxi or transfer, and the stop is right inside Rafina port. From central Athens, KTEL buses also run from Nomismatokopio (Metro Line 3) for €2.40.
Are taxis available at the airport at 5 AM — should I pre-book?
Taxis wait at the airport rank 24/7, so you can walk out and grab one. But at that hour the meter runs on the higher midnight–05:00 night tariff, the fare isn't fixed, and taxis rarely carry child seats. For a guaranteed car at a set price with a driver waiting, a pre-booked transfer is easier — see our early-morning ferry guide.
Do Uber and Bolt work at Athens Airport?
Yes, but in Greece both apps mostly dispatch licensed taxis rather than private cars. They work at the airport, though late at night the supply out to Rafina can be thin — keep them as a backup to a taxi or a pre-booked transfer.
Can you provide child seats?
Yes — a pre-booked transfer can include infant, toddler or booster seats on request (Greek taxis usually don't carry them). Just add it when you book or message us.
How do I pay?
Pay securely by card when you book, or the driver on the day — depending on the option you choose at checkout.
My ferry gets in and I have a flight the same day — can I make it?
Usually yes — Rafina port to Athens Airport is 20–30 minutes. Pre-book a transfer timed to your ferry's arrival; the driver tracks the boat (ferries can run late) and takes you straight to the terminal. Around 3 hours between ferry arrival and flight is comfortable for check-in.
