Wrong choice for an island trip: once the free window closes you are paying by the hour and risking a ticket.
Worth knowing: both Safe Park lots are booked by phone, and neither is a guarded compound. Take anything valuable with you and leave nothing on the seats.

Take the car across, or leave it and rent there?
A vehicle ticket is a separate fare on top of every passenger, and the space sells out first in summer. For a lot of island trips, parking here and renting on arrival is the simpler sum.
Drive it onto the ferry
- Your own car waiting on the other side, with no rental desk and no deposit.
- Worth it for long stays, families with a lot of luggage, or a house with no bus route.
- Only the conventional boats carry vehicles. Most high-speed sailings take few or none.
- Book vehicle space early for July and August, and arrive well ahead for the car lane.
Park here, rent on the island
- A foot-passenger ticket is the cheapest way across, and you can take any sailing you like.
- Parking at the port runs about €10 to €11 a day while you are gone.
- Rent something small that suits narrow island roads, only for the days you need it.
- Island fleets are small. Book ahead for August or you will be choosing from what is left.

Is there parking at Rafina port?
Yes. There is the municipality's controlled street parking (free for the first 3 hours, then €2.00 per hour) and two private Safe Park lots a short walk from the ferries: Harbour (about 50 m, roughly €11 a day) and Beach (about 300 m, roughly €10 a day). There is no free parking on the quay itself.
How much is parking at Rafina?
Municipal street parking gives you 3 free hours, then charges €2.00 per hour (May to September daily 07:00 to 20:00; in winter Friday to Sunday only). The private Safe Park lots are roughly €10 to €11 per day, open from 06:00 until the last ferry.
Can I leave my car at Rafina for several days?
Yes. For an island trip use a Safe Park lot at about €10 to €11 a day rather than the street. They are a 1 to 4 minute walk from the port and you reserve a space by phone. The lots are not guarded, so take any valuables with you.
How do I pay for street parking in Rafina?

Do I need to book a Safe Park lot in advance?

Can I park overnight at Rafina port?
Yes. The Safe Park lots are built for multi-day island trips, so you leave the car and it stays put until you are back. Staff are on site from 06:00 until the last ferry each day. The municipal street bays are not suitable for an overnight or multi-day stay.
Is it cheaper to take my car on the ferry or rent one on the island?
A vehicle ticket is charged on top of every passenger fare, and only the conventional boats carry cars, so for short stays it is usually cheaper to park at the port and rent on the island. Taking your own car pays off for longer stays, big families or somewhere with no bus route. Check the vehicle fare for your date on your route above.
Should I just skip driving to the port?
