Rafina 2026 season notes
A few timely notes for travelling through Rafina this season — last updated June 2026.
- June 2026 — Summer timetable in full swing. The fuller summer schedule (typically running from around late March/April to October) is now up to speed, with more daily sailings and the seasonal high-speed routes to Paros, Naxos, Santorini and Ios running alongside the year-round services to Andros, Tinos and Mykonos. Times shift week to week, so always check live before you book.
- June 2026 — Allow extra time at the port in July–August. The quayside gets busy at the height of summer. We'd usually arrive about 30–45 minutes before departure, and a little more in peak weeks — and it's worth booking popular crossings ahead rather than turning up on the day.
- June 2026 — Getting here from the airport. Coming straight off a flight? Athens International Airport is only 20–30 minutes away by taxi or private transfer. On a budget, there's a direct KTEL airport bus for a fixed €4.00, or KTEL from Nomismatokopio on Metro Line 3 for about €2.40. Note there's no direct train to Rafina.
