From the airport or Athens
Four ways to reach Rafina, easiest first.
Door-to-door from the airport or central Athens. Best for early ferries, groups and luggage.
Book a transfer →Available 24/7 from the airport rank. Quick, but the priciest option — agree the fare or use the meter.
Compare with transfers →From Athens, KTEL buses leave from Nomismatokopio (Metro Line 3); pay on board, cash only.
Bus timetable →A short drive from Athens. Paid municipal parking near the terminals — no free parking on the quay.
Parking guide →No direct train to Rafina. From the airport, take the suburban train to the city centre, then a KTEL bus or taxi to the port.
Getting around Rafina
Rafina itself is compact and walkable — the port, the ticket offices, the tavernas and the shops are all within a few minutes of each other, so once you arrive you rarely need transport in town.
For the beaches and nearby spots — Artemida, Nea Makri, Marathon and Schinias — a taxi or a pre-booked transfer is the easiest way, since they're not all on a convenient bus route. Travelling as a group or planning a few stops? A minibus transfer can work out well — just ask us.
Heading onward? Ferries to the Cyclades leave straight from the port — see the ferry search for live times and tickets.
